Today has been quite an exciting day, well for me at least I'm not sure exciting is the word the Mr would use to describe it. We went to the National Wedding Show in Manchester (Eeeeek!!!). I have been excited about going all week. I know this probably makes me sound like a giant dweeb (do people still say dweeb?!) but everything wedding excites me at the moment and this is an event where all things fabulous and wedding are wrapped into one giant box, where you can explore all your wedding needs. They had everything there cakes, cars, honeymoon travel consultants, photographers, dresses, stationary, favours, everything you need and there is a long list of needs when planning a wedding! To be completely honest the show wasn't as big as I thought it would be but I still took HOURS looking at every stall, getting lots of ideas on how to make our wedding special.
By the time we had finished we were hungry and decided that there was only one place to go......Almost Famous. If your from the Manchester area I'm sure you've heard about this burger joint that people queue hours for to get massive burgers. It has recently re-opened in the Great Northern and I feel like I have been waiting ages to go.
Pig and Waffles
I am fully aware that I have been a very bad blogger, completely MIA for a couple of weeks. I apologise, life has just been busy and a bit exhausting to be honest, so blogs have been put on the back burner. I will try not to let this happen again.Today has been quite an exciting day, well for me at least I'm not sure exciting is the word the Mr would use to describe it. We decided to share an order of Pig and Waffle, which is waffle fries topped with pulled pork, bbq sauce and blue cheese sauce. These were devoured between the two of us in minutes, partly because we were starving but mainly because they were sooo good! For our burgers we both went for a Baddaboom. This is a double cheeseburger (they don't do anything smaller then a double) with bacon, chorizo, onions and their famous sauce all served on a garlic brioche bun.
Not only are the burgers impressive but the prices don't break the bank either with the two of us eating for about £20. I still can't believe I finished it all seeing as I felt full after the Pig and Waffle but I just didn't want to leave any behind. We will definitely be heading back to try some more of the menu.
