Shopping for THE Dress

For those of you who didn't know, I'm getting married!! 

We have been engaged for a few months now and I am abso-freakin-lutely loving Wedding planning. It's just so much fun and has been so exciting finding the venue, tasting the menu, looking at flowers I just love it all sooooo much!  Since we have most of the big stuff sorted I feel like its now time to start the dress shopping. 



Now I have been looking at wedding dresses since way before we got engaged. That's not weird, right?! I just love everything about wedding dresses. 

In my mind I always had this romanticised vision of me spending a day going from bridal boutique to bridal boutique with my mom and sisters trying on stunning gowns by the likes of Pronovias and Monique Llullier. But with me now living in the UK and all of my family in Canada this had made this dream of mine difficult. Luckily I have made some incredible friends over here who have stepped up to the plate to fill some very big shoes, as well as my lovely mother-in-law to be. Thanks goodness for technology I can still share my experiences through videos and pictures.

For any brides to be like myself, here are a few suggestions to make the most of your dress shopping experience;

• Have a look at different styles of wedding and designers and make an appointment at a bridal shop that carries the designers you like.
• Make sure you have a budget set in your mind before you go, you don't want to fall in love with a dress that you can't afford.
• Wear proper underwear, keep in mind you're going to be trying on dresses of different fabrics and styles.
• Try on different styles of wedding dresses to begin with, the dresses look different when they're on.
• Pick a dress that feel right for you. You and everyone in the room may not cry when you walk out in it, you might not get butterflies in your stomach. Choose a dress that feels right for you.
